Although the logs are intuitive for this product would it not be more beneficial if Vmware actually built better reporting into the product?
With platespin i know what step and when my P2v has failed at it also emails me to tell me.
To keep support down in Vmware (to concentrate on supporting bigger products like ESX) would it not be better to do this.
Let me know what everyone thinks!

I think the old age saying of you get what you pay for.
Tried to P2V a 1850 Dell Poweredge today. It was being P2V'd to a ESX Starter server with 1 license CPU so I "think" this was what causing the stall of the process, however how would i know what cryptic logs.
Come on Vmware dont go down the Microsoft route with your products :smileygrin:
