Converter a xp installation to vmware image

Hi folks 🙂

I've a winXP os on a pc and I can't access it as admin. So I can't install vmware converter

I can backup whole os by clonezilla and/or other linux software.

Is it possibile with vm converter trasform the cloned os to virtual machine?

Page 24 of the Converter 4.3 Users Guide at https://www.vmware.com/pdf/convsa_43_guide.pdf details the various virtual machine and image formats which are supported for use with VMware Converter.

if you use Converter 4.3 make sure you select "buslogic" controller for the new XP-VM
the other options are a bluff and will fail
