When I press "View source details ..." or Next, the window "VMware vCenter Converter Standalone Agent deployment" pops up.
It connects to the remote machine but after 18 s it times out with a critical message box with the subject message.
As perhaps the upload of the agent fails, I tried to install the agent on the remote machine and start the service. But that doesn't change anything.
Both machines are Windows XP with latest updates. Everything I can find regarding how to set it up is followed, antivirus and firewalls are off, but no cigar.
My feeling is that some port is blocked but how to check that? Or what could be the source of this error?
