Hi,
When I try & install VM Converter on a couple of physical servers in my environment I get the following error message.
Error 29190. Could not generate Secure Socket Layer (SSL)
Has anyone come across this before?
Any solutions?
Thanks in advance.
Peter
yes - that is a known issue.
It can happen if the tool that generates the rui.key and rui.crt during installation already exists in the path of your Windows-system.
Grrr ... I do not remember the name of the exe right now ....
Have to look it up ....
It was libeay.exe or something like that .. shame on me
The fix is to rename the already existing executable during setup of Converter.
have to come back with the correct filename
Ulli

Hi Ulli,
Thanks for getting back to me on this. Much appreciated.
Do you know what the correct file name is for this?
Cheers,
Pedro
sorry - I had forgotten this post.
Open a cmd on the machine where you want to install.
Type "openssl.exe"
if the reply is "file not found" my hunch was bad.
if the reply list openssl options then I may be right.
Then locate the file "openssl.exe" and temporarily rename it to openssl.exe-org
Then try the setup again
