Hi,

Im trying to convert a windows 2003 Std R2 machine using the converter with Vsphere , it gets to approx 98% and then fails with the reason 'Methodfault.Summary'

the source machine then gets a stop error and reboots.

When I look at the converter log files I can see the following lines :

can anyone tell from this what the issue could be ?

98% is good
test if you can boot the VM - if it fails with bluescreen 7b don't worry - that can be fixed

we need to see your vmx-file in this case

unfortunately it does not boot , I just get a cursor in the top left.

I have attached the vmx file in case this might help.

not good - then you would have to fix MBR or Partition-bootsector as well.

Suggestion: install Converter 3.0.3 inside the 2003 R2 and use it from there.
Use the option: import THIS machine

ok , thanks for the suggestion.

I am using Vsphere 4.1.0 , does this mean I should use a later version of the converter? , like 4.3 maybe ?

anyway - you can use 4.3 but then you need to make sure you select "buslogic" as SCSI-controller.

3.0.3 configures this right all the times - 4.3 defaults to misconfigure it
