Converter Annoyance!

Ran across this today. During the import wizard the source IP/hostname field would constantly revert back to an IP I had already converted.

10.128.0.74 old conversion

10.128.0.7 new conversion

After entering 10.128.0.7 the field would automatically revert to 10.128.0.74 no matter what I did. I didn't catch it the first time and almost converted a server I have no intention of converting!

Ended up deleting the contents of this reg key.

Converter by default will cache the previous job's IP information as a convenience. Did the IP information change after your second conversion with a new IP?

Sorry lost track of this topic.

I can appreciate the convenience of an IP history but obviously I found a flaw with it. After deleting the value of the key previously posted all was fine. After the second conversion, the new IP was then cached.

does it repro if you clear ALL events in the tasklist?
