I am attempting to copy a VM from an ESX 3 Server. The machine is running Linux and the VM is hosting a 64-bit version of Windows Server. Converter fails soon after beginning the conversion process (I have attached the exported logs). I am new to vmware and am not entirely sure where to start with debugging this.
your post is confusing
please specify the source you want to convert and the target you want to convert to

Thanks for the reply and I apologize for being lax in getting back to this....
I have a host running the VMware ESX Server 3.5 and have a few virtual machines running on it. I want to be able to take one of these virtual machines and hand it to someone else who will install it somewhere else. I don't know whether or not they will install it on workstation or server.
The guest operating system for the vm is MS Windows Server 2003, Standard Edition (64-bit). In the VMware Converter tool, i am trying to use convert machine with a destination type of VMware Workstation or other VMware virtual machine and using the product VMware Workstation 6.5.
I receive an error on the console that states "Error: Failed to clone Disk 0 on the Virtual Machine "xxxxx".
Please let me know if that gives you enough information to have any insight on what the issue might be.
Thanks,
Chris
