Convert a Linux (Ubuntu) physical server to virtual

Hi,

I would like to know if someone has tried to convert a Linux server (Ubuntu 12.04 in this case), a physical server, to a virtual server. Did work ok? Which version of vCenter converter have you used? I currently use vSphere 5.0 Update 2 and vCenter server 5.0 Update 2. Which vCenter standalone converter should i use? I see there is 5.0 and 5.0.1. Will both do the job? Thank you in advanced!

I managed to p2v Ubuntu via converter 5.0.1. Prepare for LVM2 2.02.95 version which can give u some headache. http://www.no-x.org/?p=892
