Command line options

I'm looking to start the VMware converter from the command line but so far can't find any info on it, does anyone know if it's possible?

There was some info during the Beta... I don't think anyone can get into the archived forums though...

It's not fully documented nor supported yet, but there is a p2vtool.exe command that can be run from the command line.

There is no file named p2vtool.exe in the Starter or Enterprise install.

Maybe from the Coldboot CD.

Also, I remember this file during the Beta, but I think it has been renamed converter.exe (the main program).

Let me clarify...the p2vtool was part of the Beta. It is not part of the GA release. That means it isn't on the cold clone CD nor renamed something else.

It's likely some variation of that to support command lines will appear in a future version.

Yeah, I didn't see it in the coldboot CD.

It would be nice to see it come back...

Thanks for the info, It would be great to see some command line stuff in the future. btw I like the GUI but command line option (in combination with an answer file) could make this a nice DR tool.
