Has anyone had any success in using the VMware converter to covert a Novel 5 machine into a VM running on ESX 3.0?
I have yet to try it, but wanted to see if anyone had any advise.
Thanks,
Joe

While you can use the cold clone boot CD to copy a Novell system, you may still need to perform manual steps to make the new VM bootable.
The best way to get the new VM working is to first install a fresh Novell VM and then mount the unbootable virtual disk to it.
Then make the necessary edits to these files by comparing the working VM's with the unbootable VM's:
\- STARTUP.NCF and STARTUP.ORG
\- SCSIHD. CDM and SCSIHD.DDI
\- LSIMPTNW.HAM and LSIMPTNW.DDI
