Looking at the documentation of LiveState (which I have not used previously) it says "Convert system recovery images to VMWare virtual machines and vise versa". So, are they talking about this beta importer or something else?
Secondly, my small non-profit company is considering our VM future:
Short term and cheap: VMWare Server & VM Importer on stand-alone servers
Long term and expensive: ESX & P2V with blades & SAN
It appears VMware is going to offer support for the free VM Server product...will it also offer support for VM Importer? If so, based on our needs I may not need to go the "expensive" route.
The VM landscape is really confusing right now...
