CentOS File System Changes after P2V

Yesterday night, successfully we have migrated centos physical system into VM using VMware Standalone Converter 5.0.1.

After P2V centos file system in VM changed from ext4 to ext3.

Does any one faced similar kind of issue.

How to preserve centos file system while P2V.

Try a newer Converter. When Converter does not recognize any source file system it creates ext3 on the destination. I think support for ext4 was added later (after Converter 5.0.1). If you use e. g. Converter 5.5.2 the ext4 filesystem should be preserved.
