Can you merge a physical server's volumes during conversion

I'm in the process of planning the virtualization of a file server. The physical server has 4 separate data volumes. If possible I would like to merge the 4 volumes into 1 volume during the conversion to a virtual server - then I would just set up different share points to the single volume. This would allow me to work with a single large volume for the data on the SAN.

Is this possible? Or will I have to use Converter to create the virtual server volumes as a copy of the existing and then do a merger as a separate process?

Hi Jim

Converter cannot do merging of volumes. You will have to have it convert over and then add a new disk and then consolidate. Once finished you could then delete the unwanted disks.

I would robocopy them into a single disk.
