Hi,
I'm just starting playing around with virtualisation on VMWARE and already succeeded in converting a physical Windows 2003 Server.
But now I'm trying to convert a Windows 2008 Server running on Windows Virtual Server 2005 R2, but can't get past the infamous "Unable to obtain hardware information for the selected machine" error.
Some more details:
I'm using 4.3.0 Verison 292238
The VM is turned OFF
I also tried shutting down Virtual Server 2005
The VMC file is on the same machine where VMWare vCenter Converter server and client is running
-> in a local path "C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\All Users\Dokumente\Shared Virtual Machines\Windows 2008 Server"
The Virtual Disk is on a separate disk on the same server
-> D:\VirtualServers
Any idea what I could do?
