Can RAID systems be converted using the Converter ?

I have a Windows 2000 Server with RAID 1 configured (Mirroring) I used the converter to create a VM image. I received the following error when launching the VM: No bootable cd, floppy or hard disk was detected. To install an operating system, insert a bootable cd or floppy and restart the virtual machine by clicking the reset button. Obviously the disk RAID configurations are not coming over. It only comes over as one SCSI disk. Is RAID conversion supported ? and if so how could I do this properly? Thanks

Mount the VM's disk to another Windows 2000 VM, power on the latter, and verify that all system files came over. It's possible that all you need to do is change the partition number in the boot.ini.

Hardware RAID systems are supported-- Converter will see one logical disk and clone that. Converter may have issues with some software RAID, particularly Windows 2003 Server, in which case you may need to dismantle the mirror to be a single disk prior to cloning.
