I find Converter to be very unpredictable. I have a list of servers to convert P2V of all OS. Some virtualise without hassle, others, (egNT4 servers) do not complete. There is a distinct lack of logs to indicate where the problems originate. I have logged a call with my support provider who have advised some of the following to ensure that conversions complete.
1: check File & Print Services are running on the source servers.
2: Check all admin shares are present.
3: For Windows NT, check the windows option under network Adapter under Advanced Options.
I'd be interested to get some feedback from other users. Am I doing something wrong, or is it just an unpredictable piece of software.
I'd love to know what the user base thinks.
