Black Screen with white cursor after converting machine

Hi

I have just converted a Server 2003 machine to a vmware image but when I boot it I get a black screen with a cursor and nothing else. I don't get any form of bootup.

Any ideas?

I get the exact same thing. When I export from AppAssure to ESXi 4.1.  I have ready many others get the same thing. I have heard some say it has something to do with the drive type. Not sure what that means.

Try running configure with VMware Converter on the target VM.
