The reason I asked is that a physical server win2000 with sp4 has failed several times whether using the plugin Vmware enterprise converter or standalone.
I have a ticket open for this and I don't think vmware will be able to resolve this. So I actually got an image created with platespin and it works. The problem is the creation process stopped at 86% and it locked up the physical server. This doesn't give me a warm and fuzzy feeling about platespin.
If the tempoary license for platespin expires the image will not be usable. Can I get around this by using converter to revirtualize the platespin image?
