hda1 doesn't exist any more .... this is attempting to open and IDE drive .... it's going to be at least /dev/sda1 for a scsi drive now. Let alone, you shouldn't use converter 3.0.x to convert a Linux system when the 4.0 beta supports linux reconfig
you might be able to use the converter 4.0 beta to "reconfigure" the virtual machine that is in ESX to adjust everything tho. this would save you from reconverting the entire system. Check the links below my signature for more info.
