We have tried vROPs but unless you are technically minded (which our sustainability SME/manager is not) is hard to use and know what is good/not good. Any tools out there to automate recommendations and do not cost a lot ideally please?
You'll be hard-pressed to find low-cost solutions for that issue of gaining metrics. There may be some useful tools that get pieces of your answer via VMware Flings (https://flings.vmware.com/) but more likely you'll need to do some heavy research and sit through marketing demos of tools likek ControlUp (End point solution more than SDDC) or ScienceLogic. I've looked at those in the past for portions of the solutions, but those were specific use cases and not as broad as the entire SDDC environment.
