2nd Gen AMD EPYC

Our on-prem vSphere infrastructure is 2nd Gen AMD EPYC based. Are AWS C5an.metal and C5adn.metal instances supported in Canada Central?

Many Thanks!

Hi MBraedel2,

thank you for your question.
Today, only Intel based Nodes are available, namely i3 and i3en.
We used to also have r5, but these are no longer available.
See https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-Cloud-on-AWS/services/com.vmware.vmc-aws-operations/GUID-98FD3BA9-... for current Host types.

In regards to AMD based host types, I’d recommend you to reach out to your local account team, to discuss the use case further. They might be able to bring this to Product Managements attention.

Be well,
Rick
