VCP7 DCV Required Training

Hi folks,

I wanted to know if I can use the VMware vSphere: Install, Configure, Manage [V6.5] training that I took in 2018 to fulfill the requirements to sit for VCP-DCV 7.0 certification.

Thank you,

Maiwand

@MWardak

The short answer is no.

The certification title is VCP-DCV 2021, the exams are based on versions but the certification awarded is named after the year in which you complete the requirements.

At the moment you can either take 2 exams on vSphere 6.7, or 1 exam on vSphere 7.0, but in both cases you’ll need to take training on at least the same version.

Here’s the reference: https://www.vmware.com/education-services/certification/vcp-dcv.html
