VCP Trainings for VCP-DCV

Hello,

For the required trainings for the VCP-DCV cert, when is it best to take these trainings? Toward the beginning of preparation or toward the end of cert prep? I want to make the best of the courses and would like some guidance as to the best chance of success.

Thanks!

I did it at the start of my preparation for the certification.

I then had 6 weeks during which I updated our production infrastructure from v6.7 to v7 and also checked as many settings as possible against what I'd learned on the course.

I also listened to a full video training package (this one: https://www.oreilly.com/videos/vcp-dcv-for-vsphere/9780137667796/) however I think any independant package would do.

I passed the exam well & it's the first time I've had a certification from VMware. 🙂

The beginning.

The training gives you product knowledge, which you must build on to ensure you are prepared for the exam.

I'm a VMware Certified Instructor, and I would say, if you can, have a little bit play with the product, but I would recommend that you get the training done as quickly as possible, download the exam blueprint and revise what is mentioned on the certification website, but most of all, if you do the prep, you will pass https://www.vmware.com/learning/certification/vcp-dcv.html
