what circumstance you need to upgrade your Esxi/Vsphere from free verion to paid version.

hi all

i have a IBM x3650 serial Server running Esxi 5.5 free version on it,1 proccessor  and  128GB Ram , it has been two years , and no false came out ,

i thank Vmware provide us an such stable environment .

we all knew Esxi have many editions , and i am happen to upgrade my Server or purchase some new,

What situation i need to update  my licesen to a paid verions ?
