vcbrestore error could not find host

attempting to use vcbRestore to restore os image. using the esx service console the command i use is

vcbRestore -h wales.chrd.cenhud.com -u root -p password -s /mnt/restore/fullvm/tullamore/bsvkup

error message

Current working directory: /

Error: Could not find host wales.chrd.cenhud.com on this VirtualCenter Instance

[root@wales /}#

The esx server that this is executing from is wales.chrd.cenhud.com

actually not a fix to your vcbrestore problem, but if you urgently need to restore the backup, use convertter.

thanks,. vmcoverter works !! Just has one issue, restored server x into vmmware server x1, the actual os was still named x, essentially vmmware had both servers

original x and now x1. I powered up x1 but couldnt sign in to Active directory, had to remove computer and readd to AD. Does vm vonverter change the computer sid

in AD.

VMWare convertter doesnt change SID. can it be a "computer" AD password that has been expired or changed between the time cap in backup / restore or the clock/date was misconfigured on restored guest? (windows AD uses kerberos authentication)
