vDR2 with Openfiler

I currently have 3 hosts running 4-5 VMs each. These hosts are connected to my Openfiler SANs for shared storage (iscsi).

I have the vDR2 appliance as a VM on one of my hosts. I will be using a dedicated SAN storage with 2TB of space where I will created a VMDK where the backups will be stored.

Does anyone think I'll run into problems with this setup?  All I'm looking for is to have a simple backup of our VMs.  Thanks.

In theory this can work, but have you seen kb 1026596?

That definitely has me rethinking about using Openfiler iscsi.
