switch to new storage ?

Hello. VDP 6.1. Is it possible to switch to new storage without re-"installing" VDP ?

Currently have 1 TB storage and need to use new one (new storage device) with 4TB.

Could I do vMotion here ?

Yes, but it is called Storage vMotion... just right click the VDP virtual machine, select the Migrate option, on the migration wizard, select "Change Storage Only" and at select datastore window, select the new NFS datastore where you want place the VDP disks.

You want migrate your 1TB virtual disks to the 4TB datastores? If yes, just use storage vMotion. But, if you want just add new capacity to the VDP, check the page #101 of the following guide: https://pubs.vmware.com/vsphere-60/topic/com.vmware.ICbase/PDF/vmware-data-protection-administration...

Thank you for reply. Yes, I want to change (migrate). Do not want to expand, because old datastore hasn't enough capacity.

Didn't fully understand about vMmotion, if I have two external nfs servers, one is old, second new, both mounted as datastores.

VDP virtual machine is on internal datastore. Could I do vMotion here ?
