I'm testing the restore of a single VMDK connecting it to a VM as secondary disk. It works but if the VM where I'm connecting the VMDK during restore is powered on, it's automatically powered of. Is this normal or not?

are you using any tool for restoring vmdk?
I'm using the restore wizard in the DATA RECOVERY plugin.
