We are checking Open source Amanda to consider backup of VMware environment.
There is two types to support backup solution by amanda and zmanda.
Amanda is free but zmanda is no free.
Here is my question. if we just use amanda to back vmware up, is it possible to use NBD, hotadd, sanbackup?
I don't know that VMware already cooperate with other company to develop any backup feature
Could you have answer about that whether vmware has reference site or not?
1) any company try to develop backup and restore of vmware vm?
2) VMware supported any task to customer who want to build backup/restore for therir vmware environment.
