ghettoVCBg2 running from non-vMA server

We're trying to wean ourselves off of the vMA and just use a generic Linux VM as our management server. Anyone running ghettoVCBg2 from any server other than a vMA?  It seems to me that the script should be able to use the credstore, like all the VMware perl scripts do...

The script was explicity written against the vi-fastpass modules which is only available on vMA, so using an alternative UNIX/Linux system with just vSphere SDK for Perl will not work.

Thanks. I was thinking of making some edits to the script to make it work with the perl credstore. I have not really looked at it yet, so I'm not sure how difficult this will be.
