conditions under which ctk parameter is enabled

Hi,

  There is an entity "ctkEnabled" in the configuratin parameters at the vm level. This entity is enabled for some vm's, disabled for some and missing for some of the vm's. I would like to know the following

1) Under what conditions does ctk get enabled for some of the virtual machines

2) Is ctk tied to licensing

My test environment consists of

1) ESXi5.0 and above

2) H/w version 8

3) Vmware tools is installed

This setting defines whether changed block tracking (CBT) is used for the VM/virtual disk. It's usually enabled manually or through a backup application.
