backup esxi to google disk or dropbox

hi all,

sorry for possibly repeating question, but maybe someone have done backup to dropbox or doodle drive using esxi script or Linux machine?

Or I will need to have windows machine with esxi-cli and powershell?

maybe someone has some sample script for the same or some backup?

Thank you for a help or some link to material.

P.S. I do not want to use some third party like (http://www.cloudbacko.com/vmware-esxi-backup.jsp https://www.ahsay.com/jsp/en/home/index.jsp)

Google drive probably isn't the best idea in the world (Slow upload etc)  but you could perhaps try using Veeam backup and replication, backup the VM and set it to go to the Google Drive folder as the backup repository?

Theoretically that would work but depending on your network could take a while to sync up to Google / Dropbox etc

Google Drive / Dropbox are designed for files rather than large single VMDks

What exactly are you trying to backup here, your datastores or the VM's with their disks?

Backup VM's. Cause Google disk storage seems much cheaper for me than buying separate disk...

And I do not care if google or someone else has possibility to use my files.... Smiley Happy

Main idea is to have a backup outside my DC, cause I can allow 12 hours downtime in case of disaster Smiley Happy
