VMware Data Recovery - File Level Backup for Linux

Hi

I see VMware Data Recovery v1.1 now has full support for File Level backups for Windows. What about Linux? Is this feature in the developers road map and how long before we could see this feature?

I think there are no official note about this, but definetely the team are doing something for the linux as well.

yes, been waiting this for too long but for the Windows VM is working fine at the moment since vdr v.101

I am running VMware Data Recovery 1.1 on ESX 4 U1 and vCenter 4 U1, But idon,t know how can i take file level backup from the Data Recovery

He means File Level "Restore", a File Level "Backup" doesn't exist at this moment. For a file Level Restore for Linux buy Veam Backup or wait for a Vmare Solution.

If you are looking for a File Level Restore client that can be run from Linux VMs, this is now available as part of VDR 1.2 (released yesterday)
