VDR with vsphere , Failed to create snapshot for XXX, Fehler -3941 ( Erstellen des Snapshots fehlgeschlagen)

Hi,

does someone know why this error 3941 occured?

"Failed to create snapshot for XXX, Fehler -3941 ( Erstellen des Snapshots fehlgeschlagen) "

I´d like to make a backup from our fileserver (2 discs, first 12GB, second 600GB) over VDR.

But after 10 minutes, vdr stop the job.

Any idea why?

I also can´t make a hot clone from this maschine, same problem.Timeout for snapshot.

Given that it failing for both VDR and making a clone, there must be something special about this VM. Anything you can think of

- is FT enabled?

- does it have 3rd party multi-path?

- does it have a RDM in physical compatibility mode?

- did you import this vm from a vmware server or workstation installation?

- what is the block size of the vmfs datastore that houses the 600GB disk. is it identical to the block size of the vmfs datastore that vdr is installed on

My Virtual machine is Windows Xp Professional with HDD of 30 GB with vmware toosl installed, Hardware version 7, im trying to the destination of network share which have free space of 72 Gb.
