VDR manual reclaiming

We use VDR 1.0.2.562 and from time to time restore points get damaged. These restore points need to be marked for deletion and during the automatic reclaim task. they are removed. It may take a while before the reclaim task runs.

Is it possible to manually start the reclaim task? and if yes, how?

I have an email into our contact (their on vacation) for beta testing, seems the reclaim may only run weekly or other.

the datarecovery.ini should allow us to set 1-7, 1=daily and 7 = weekly at least.

We can only hold 1.36TB of data and 1 VM copy is good enough for us.

Before build 1.2.0.1213, the integrity check would always run daily even though it was set to 7, this has been fixed with .1213

My guess is setting DedupeCheckOnRecatalog = 1 may fix? testing now after manually starting a IC, takes 24 hours : (

Force an integrity check. That will also remove restore points that are marked for deletion.

The DedupeCheckOnRecatalog = 1 did nothing for us.

Vmware will have to fix this. We should see a reclaim in the log daily.

Manually deleting restore points to abide by our retention policy is not in our best interest.
