VDR changes RDM luns on virtual machine to virtual disk during restore

Hi All,

I am working on VDR 1.1 with VMware ESX 4.0 in FC setup. I have added 1 Virtual mode RDM lun and 1 virtual disk to virtual machine (both windows and linux 32-bit and 64-bit). I was able to backup virtual machines successfully and after backup I see the disks in virtual disk node under VDR. Before restore operation I deleted virtual machine from ESX 4.0 host and performed restore operation to see how it works. Restore operation was successful in recovering virtual machine back to its original location but I found that the virtual mode RDM lun type changed to virtual disk under edit settings of virtual machine. Has any one seen this behaviour or is it the way it should work?

Thanks. But do you know why this behaviour occurs and is there any specific reason for this to happen?
