I have a VDR appliance that has not run its backup job for the last month. In the events, it shows that everyday it runs an integrity check and reclaiming tasks, which complete successfully. There have been no warnings or errors in the reports for the last month, and there is plenty of free space in the destination volume. I have a custom retention policy with 7 of the most recent backups, as well as the most recent backup from each of last 8 weeks, 6, months, 4 quarters, 2 years... So it should definitely have the run the back up job in the last month!
When I right click on the backup job and bring it to compliance to run it manually, it does nothing, not tasks start and nothing shows up in the log. I have rebooted VDR, I have recreated the backup job, not still the same thing.
Any suggestions on how to fix this issue?
I know there are better solutions out there than VDR, but at this time it is our only option. I eagerly await and update to VDR that will hopefully fix many of the issues it has.
