VDR 2.0 more then 1TB deduplication datastore

Hi,

I'm aware the official limitations (max 2 deduplication datastores and max 1TB per deduplication datastore). Today I give it a try and added an 1 TB disk and another 2 TB disk to my test VDR 2.0 appliance and voila - VDR has detected both of it, formatted and mounted it successfully. Now my question is: is the max 1TB per deduplication datastore only an performance/official limitation and VDR actually runs fine on larger deduplication datastores as well? Does anybody have any real-life experiences using > 1TB deduplication datastore in VDR 2.0?

Hi,

yes  1TB per deduplication datastore are recommended only because of performance issues, moreover no one has tested bigger dedupe stores you can give it a try.
