VDR 1.02 - How is it doing?

Good Day Everyone,

I have noticed that VMWare has released a new verison of VDR, VDR 1.02. So can anyone give their experiences on it. Is it an improvement or still no better than the previous verison?

Thanks

Stevester

Seems a little stable and faster then old versions.

Read carefully the release note, cause upgrade is not so simple (the are several steps to do).

I am starting to think VMWare may need to completely revamp VDR. Maybe outsource some help to rebuild it from scrath.

I had my fingers crossed but after 3 days I started getting -3902 file access errors and after a reboot my integrity check is at a blazing 7% after 12 hours.

The integrity check ran for 14 hours but it seems to be working again. Support said there is a communication problem between VDR and vcenter that will be fixed in a new release, but to reboot the appliance every few days until then.

Lost all backupjobs; formatted destinations and started over.

Someone experience with the CIFS shares destinations ? Does it work with the shares created in W2008 ? ( actually SMB)
