I need to make a backup copy of seven VM for one night. If I just make the job with these VM, they will be processed at the same time that strongly loads a host. Whether it is possible to specify that creation of backup copies shall be made sequentially?
What will do VDP if several tasks are assigned to the same time?
What will do VDP if one task isn't finished, and time to launch another came?
I would clarify it experimentally, but it is terrible to experiment with working system.
Hi vgorpen,
you can manage the vdp proxy throughput at the vdp configuration page.
There you can manage how many simultaneos backups can run.

Hey,
you can either split the VMs into different backup jobs with different starting times or reduce the number of VMs processed at a time in the proxy settings as mentioned by Stefan.

efanjo, thanks. I hope, it will solve my problems.
scheppTim Scheppeit, thanks, but is difficult to make the schedule for seven VM to me. Too long intervals should be inserted. I think, time of backup of VM isn't very stable.

This is not true for VDP 6.1. See KB2144583
