VDP and bandwidth

Good morning, all!

We're looking at VDP 4 and/or 6.1 to add to one of our VMware stacks.  This is a new stack, currently running vSphere 5.5.

Our legacy production stack is running Veeam Backup and Replication to handle those chores.  One of the things we needed to do was to implement bandwidth throttling in Veeam so we would not soak the MPLS connection between our two datacenters.

Does VDP have the ability to throttle bandwidth consumption by itself, or would I have to accomplish this with firewall/switch/router throttling?

Thanks!

Gregg

VDP doesn't not have the ability to do bandwidth throttling built in.  You can do bandwidth throttling when VDP is using a data domain.
