VCB Backup not working with one Host server

Hi

Got an issue with one host server where by we can not back up Guest server when they are on the host server, they back up find if move to another host server. Tried the telnet test with port 902 and it fails. If a I run  backup with logging switched on (-L 6) I can see that the Host server is activitly refusing the VCB connect.

Do not have the issue with any of the other Host server we have.

There are no FW's or ACLs in place either.

Any body any ideas, can't see where I would look to see if port 902 is enabled on the host server either

Cheers

Tim

902 is the remote console. You should try telnet 443 instead. Have a read here:

Hi

Yep I had already seen that and tried it and it still did not work.

Seems to talk to the VMware Managment server on port 443 first to find where the Guest server is that i needs to back up etc and then try's to talk direct from VCB to the Host server on Port 902.

As it works for all the other Host server we have it looks like there is an issue with the Host server its self, but can't find any config around port in use or disabled etc.

Its ESXi 4.0U1 and VCB tried the latest version I could get of the VMware web Site.

Cheers
