Dear All:

I have setup vcb to take backcup my VMs and I am able to take backup using vcb in nbd mode but when I used san mode its giving an error, I have enclosed the error bellow:

Error is:

SSLVerifyCertAgainstSystemStor

e: Subject mismatch: bldhkods03.banglalinkgsm.com vs bldhkvc01.banglalinkgsm.com

SSLVerifyCertAgainstSystemStor

e: The remote host certificate has these problems:

  • The host name used for the connection does not match the subject name on the h

ost certificate

  • The host certificate chain is not complete.

SSLVerifyIsEnabled: failed to

read registry value. Assuming verification is disabled. LastError = 0

SSLVerifyCertAgainstSystemStor

e: Certificate verification is disabled, so connection will proceed despite the

error

I have assigned full permission to all the vms and storage to have access to take backup but it fails. Could anyone please help me??

Hi,

Have you presented the SAN datastores to the backup proxy server?

If not, please present the datastores to the backup server.

NOTE: The VMFS and RDM LUNs that will be backed up should not be attached to the VCB Proxy until the pre-configuration steps are taken. Failure to follow these steps could result in loss of data, especially on NTFS RDMs.

Preconfiguration steps are to run disk part and disable automount

Also run automount scrub.

After the preconfiguration steps present the luns to the back up proxy server and then run the vcbmounter
