VADP Exchange 2013 SP1 - Error <13337>: Failed to restore item 'ExchangeDB1/test user (test.user@test.com)'. Details: code 0x80004005: Unspecified error

Hello all,

  While trying to restore a mailbox on a Exchange 2013 SP1 , we get the below error . We already have a case opened to VMware, but wanted to see if someone else encountered it.

Hello again,

  I would like to add some more information , as I recreated the error in my home lab , a new environment from 0 and yet I still get this error . It seems ( as VMware support pointed out ) that it is related to MAPI . I have this error in the avmapi : Error MAPI_E_LOGON_FAILED. (code: 0X80040111) . The permissions are correct, I created the VMwareVDPBackup with vmbackupusercfg , it reports everything ok.

  Google is not being very useful, I found also some posts on EMC were people complain about this error , but no fix.

Has anyone encountered this error before ?

We have just deployed 6 and currently testing

I have the exact same error with a test restore of a mailbox
