There are no registered application clients available

Hello,

Has anyone met the following problem?

vDP 6.0 running on vSphere 5.5.

After working normally for a while at some point for unknown reason I've noticed the message "There are no registered application clients available. Please go back or cancel the wizard." at stage when I need to select backup source. Either creating new job or editing existing ones.

The existing backups and replications work OK.

What does this mean?

I'll appreciate any input.

Thanks.

Rebooting VDP appliance and re-registering it in vCenter Server resolved my issue.

You're trying to backup virtual machine or application ? What did you selected in previous screen from the wizard ? Guest Images or Applications ?

Guest images for sure. I do not use app level backups at all.

This is what I see in vcenter's ext. manager:

Is it good idea to re-register vdp in vcenter? I'm afraid of loosing whole config.
