Restore rehearsal produces msg.disk.duplicateUUID error

Hi

When doing a restore rehearsal, I receive the following error message:

"msg.disk.duplicateUUID:Virtual disks "/vmfs/volumes/4704e3b5-58648b1a-86a8-001a4bad2264/gendigi01 Rehearsal/gendigi01 Rehearsal_1.vmdk" and "/vmfs/volumes/4704e3b5-58648b1a-86a8-001a4bad2264/gendigi01 Rehearsal/gendigi01 Rehearsal.vmdk" have the same UUID 50 19 e7 50 d7 72 81 d9-1b 20 e4 b2 d7 57 f8 62. Virtual disks with same UUID should not be assigned to a VM since this can lead to problems when the guest boots. Please make sure virtual disks have unique UUIDs. Do you want to continue?"

Now I can imagine why this is happening, but I wonder why vDR doesn't fix this for me since it nows it is a rehearsal. Also the messagebox window is too small to contain the full error, I had to go to powershell to retrieve the full error.

Is this (the warning) by design? Or am I not taking the correct steps in the rehearsal?

Gabrie,

Can you share what you did/are trying to test/do?

What version of VDR are you using?
