I have windows 2012 r2 vm that has 7 disks (vmdk) that total up to 7TB. I have a backup window that goes from 6pm to 8am the next morning. The backup job doesn't complete in the window and doesn't seem to restart itself after the maintenance window completes at 6pm the next day. I have vdp 6.1.2 and backing up to a data domain 2500.
Are there any recommendations or guides I should follow to backing up a windows file server with vdp? Anyone with any experience want to share?
