I have a question about internal / external proxy.
Indeed, I installed the VDP appliance in an HA cluster to back up all VMs residing in the cluster. It works well with hotAdd mechanism. I also have some VMs residing in another ESXi that has no access to the backup datastore. So, I have to use the NBD instead of HodAdd for backup.
To improve performance, I plan to deploy an external proxy on the ESXi. But as I understood, using the external proxy will disable the internal proxy of the VDP appliance. To continue to back up the VMs on the HA cluster, do I have to deploy the second external proxy on the cluster?
