We are currently using VDR to backup some of our production virtual machines, we are running ESXi 5.0 and VDR 2.0
In vCenter we have setup a DR and Production data center, they are geographically disperesed and both locations have their own SAN and VM hosts.
I am currently backing up to VDR then offloading the VMDKs to tape.
If I restore the VMDK files on the DR site, how can I restore to the DR VMs? I can switch the VDR appliance from our production to our DR VDR VM, but I think it is still reading from the centralized "vCenter".. Is this at all possible? I do not want to overwrite my production machines, I want the VDR to restore to the DR DC.
Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
