Multiple vCenter Scenario

Hello

I have deployed a new VDP 6.1x appliance into the first vCenter 6.0 in an advanced linked mode configuration of two vCenter 6 appliances.

I can backup VM's in the first vCenter, however I see no option to add the second vCenter as a backup target and am therefore not able to protect the VM's

Am I missing some configuration?

Regards

Sean

Yes you can, but I believe that deploy a new appliance (and remove the old one) will be more fast and safe than move appliances between vCenters.

You will need to deploy an additional VDP appliance for each vCenter that you want protect.

Hi Richardson

Thank you for the quick response. I assume then I can move the appliance into the second vCenter and then re-register it with the second vCenter?

The majority of the VM;s I need to backup are in vCenter 2

Sean
